Just when you thought it was safe to read the blogs page again haha *^-^*

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

So a few things have been swimming around in our warped little minds lately…we’ve decided that the monkey project just ISN’T INSANE ENOUGH!! Yeah that’s right, you heard me….we need to crazy it up a bit and we’re counting on you to help us to bring the fun in haha.

So for those of you who didn’t see our Tenacious D tribute video you need to get yourself onto facebook to view such things with your eyeballs….unfortunately I can’t upload the video directly onto this page yet because the song was flagged and we haven’t got round to editing the naughty words out of it, so instead…heres me and chantelle moshing out…

*mosh mosh mosh*

But yes mosey on over to facebook, search “The monkey project” and have a look at the video, and for those of you who’ve already witnessed this enigma….how would you like to see things like that on a regular basis….

Well maybe not quite as badly performed, but yes, we want you to send in your suggestions of your favourite songs, tv episodes, films and we’ll re-enact them in a short burst of insane film footage with props, face-paints and if I get my own way, pigeons!! *^-^*

Pidgie pidgie pidgie...potato?

There are other ideas in the mind tanks for future madness but we thought we’d start slow…don’t want you getting scared away now do we *^-^*

Yeah thats right chantelle...we don't want to scare them

So if you wanna see us make fools of ourselves more than we already do, show us what you got…we have no shame so don’t be scared to push the boundaries…go on…give us some suggestions…we double monkey DARE you

Also if you’re not part of our facebook group please join, its your arena to tell us what you think and what kind of things you wanna get out of the show…plus you’ll get to vote on the new page logo and show ideas or yanno just poke fun at our status updates and photos….and remember…

Its impossible to be unhappy in a poncho *^-^*

Lots of love and bananas…the monkey project <3

Atlantic in Transit

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

So if you heard the show today you will have heard me talk about Atlantic in Transit, one of the best local bands i’ve heard for a while! I know a couple of the band members quite well and have never met anyone as passionate about music a they are. They’re always trying to produce original and interesting music which I think is somthing lacking in new bands at the moment.

Some of their influences are Minus The Bear,Tubelord, Maps & Atlases,This Town Needs Guns, GlassJAw, Caspian, Biffy Clyro, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Foals and Don Caballero.

so If any of that’s what you’re into, or you just want to hear some interesting music for a change, check out all of their songs out on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/atlanticintransit

If you like what you hear add them on facebook too and get down to one of their gigs:

New year’s resoultion : to keep up with this blog!

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Yo homeslices/homebread/homebases…

I realised I have only written one blog and i’m sure a pathetic one at that (I can’t remember!) therefore I’ve decided, about 30 seconds ago that this shall be my new years resolution – huzzah!

So Christmas is over, festivities gone and snow following closely behind -thank god, and we’re in the dull month of January. Actually, we’ve now entered a series of dull months in my opinion until it starts to get warmer in May. So what to do til then? I have no idea, but i’m sure they’ll be many an interesting night out with stories to accompany them!

I’ve got a ‘FAIL’ lined up for this weeks show, we haven’t done it in a while and I think i’ll persuade the team to bring it back, Ally should at least have one! I reckon we’ll have to think of some exciting new features to bring to the show since watching Adam and Tom’s escapades over Christmas – if you haven’t seen the videos check them out!

So I’m looking forward to the first Pick ‘n’ Mix show of 2010 tomorrow.

catch you on the flip flop.
