Uwe Mitzscherlich, a 39-year-old from Dresden, even dressed up Cecilia in white for the big day, reports Metro.co.uk.

An actress had to perform registrar duties after gobsmacked officials refused to carry out the ceremony.

Mitzscherlich bought the five-year-old Cecilia in 2000 and claims it was love at first sight.

The newly-wed admitted: “We constantly smooch and she has slept in my bed from the beginning of our relationship.”

Stand in registrar, Christin-Maria Lohri, added: “I thought it was a joke at first, but quickly came to understand that Mr Mitzscherlich wanted to achieve his heart’s desire.”

Neighbours called police after hearing the little boy’s screams and he was eventually rescued by firefighters, reports the Chutian Metropolis News.

It happened after the boy’s grandfather left him sleeping in the flat in Jucheng Compound, Yichang in Hubei Province, to pop outside on an errand.

The boy, called Ming Ming, woke up to find himself alone and is believed to have fallen from the window while looking out for his grandfather.

Because he is so small, Ming Ming fell straight through the safety bars but he was saved from certain death because his head got trapped.

Fire service spokesman Wang Shen said the boy had a miraculous escape: “He could have fallen to the ground – or have been suffocated – at any minute.”

Police found Ming Ming’s grandfather who opened the door to let firefighters into the apartment to rescue the boy, as a crowd gathered below.

While keeping firm hold of Ming Ming, they used hydraulic tools to widen the bars and then pulled him back into the apartment.

We have a huge jar of chocolate mini eggs, and we are asking students and staff to guess the number of mini eggs in the jar for a chance to win a luxury Easter Hamper (there will also be a number of runner up prizes).

Staff from Academic Enterprise will be based at various points on campus at different times leading up to the ‘big count’ and prize draw on 1st April, but students are invited to drop into the Stephenson Building, room IC1.01 to see the jar, make a guess (£1 a go) and to enter the prize draw.

So today was my first solo show. I decided to read out a variety of news articles that I have recently found either interesting or thought-provoking.

Few people would recognise the rather ordinary looking lady in a headscarf making her way along the platform at King’s cross. HM The Queen showed her ‘green’ credentials on December 17 by eschewing the Royal Train and taking a £44.40 singlw to King’s Lynn on a First Capital Connect EMU service train. She was on her way to Sandringham for Christmas.

This is the some of volunteers I lived and worked with at Camp ABC

I began my application process In September 2008 and attended an interview shortly after where I was accepted and guaranteed a place at a camp for the following summer. Having heard nothing from camps for a few months I decided to attend a recruitment fair in Kensington.

When I arrived an hour before the doors opened there was a queue outside of the venue that wrapped around the courtyard and down the street! I waited outside for an hour and a half until I eventually got in. The venue was packed with people queuing at camp stalls for an interview. Luckily I had researched which camps were attending on the website and made straight for my top 3 camps.

Having waited another 45mins for my 1st choice, I finally got an interview with the Camp Director. The interview went well but she turned me away 3 times and told me to choose another camp because the ‘Fresh Air Fund’ was not a typical “rick kid” camp and she didn’t think I would be cut for it. On the third try I was adament with her that I could do it and she should hire me as the media teacher and counsellor ! I was only the third person she had hired that day out of the hundreds who’d waited patiently.

So, if you are attending the Recruitment fair or interested in Camp America my tips to you are:

1. Prepare – research camps you want to talk to and prioritise, you may not get to speak to all of them.

2. Be Patient – you will have to queue outside and inside, so make sure you wear layers and bring a bottle of water and a snack!

3. Stand Out – there are hundreds of people looking for a place at a camp some more deserving than others, so know what you’re good at and don’t be afraid to big ourself up!

4. Be Persistent - If like me you are turned away and you aren’t ready to give up, go back to them prove to them that you’re serious and can do the job!

5. Don’t think of Camp America as a holiday – it’s hard work! HOWEVER, the travel afterwards is amazing and worth the hard work you put in at camp.

I’m really excited for anyone going to camp this summer, you are going to have the best summer of your life
Camp was really hard but I learned alot about myself and grew up – alot!
I made amazing friends from all over the world who I am still in touch with and making plans to see again this summer.

The fair is happening this Saturday, February 27^th, down in London, Kensington.

Now I have never had a blog before and after five months at Click I am beginning to understand why I have never had one in the past, I’m rubbish at keeping them. It’s like diaries I always started them with the best of intentions but after a few weeks I was down to a few bullet points, once I had convinced myself that everyday didn’t have something interesting in that is, to ‘losing’ it under my bed and anyone who knows me will know once it goes under there it will never be seen again until it learns to grow arms and legs to claw itself out.

 Anyway I digress first let me introduce myself a little my name is Ally and I am one third of the totally awesome team of Pick n Mix and we have our show 5-7pm every Thursday on FM radio, yes even though I did win the award for best cock up by turning the radio off for a whole 20 minutes the powers that be have let me loose on live radio. It’s been three shows now and I think we have all settled into our new roles and timeslot nicely, had a panic attack last week when I was doing the washing up and realised oh my god its 4:15 I’m on air, I got halfway to the door when I realised I wasn’t. Those of you who listen in and that should be all of you will know why I was panicking, those of you who don’t shame on you.

 Like I said I think we are all finally settling in, the nerves whenever the ‘on air’ light goes on seems to have gone as is the fear of playing songs that are not of the fluffy boy band variety in case there are some naughty words also check us out with the news J. It is a great honour to be on FM and we are working on some stuff to reward the faith placed in us including myself in this blog.

 However I am now off to watch The Brits on catch up TV as my mam has been going on about it all the way back from Whitby as I was sandwiched against the door by a cupboard, best not to ask really, she couldn’t stop telling me how good ‘Lilly and the Machine’ and ‘Florence Allen’ where as well as how ungracious ‘that scruffy looking bloke’ was so I am off to check them out for myself.

I realised I have only written one blog and i’m sure a pathetic one at that (I can’t remember!) therefore I’ve decided, about 30 seconds ago that this shall be my new years resolution – huzzah!

So Christmas is over, festivities gone and snow following closely behind -thank god, and we’re in the dull month of January. Actually, we’ve now entered a series of dull months in my opinion until it starts to get warmer in May. So what to do til then? I have no idea, but i’m sure they’ll be many an interesting night out with stories to accompany them!

I’ve got a ‘FAIL’ lined up for this weeks show, we haven’t done it in a while and I think i’ll persuade the team to bring it back, Ally should at least have one! I reckon we’ll have to think of some exciting new features to bring to the show since watching Adam and Tom’s escapades over Christmas – if you haven’t seen the videos check them out!

So I’m looking forward to the first Pick ‘n’ Mix show of 2010 tomorrow.

Anyhow, another calendar year…but the Dom Shaw show is still knocking about as usual on a Thursday morning from 10-12….we don’t want people to make a new year resolution…we want them to make a Dom Shaw click resolution…if you have made a new year resolution and failed drastically even this early on in the year..then do not fret my friend! just start again from thursday morning and we will have a monthly check up with you to make sure your leaving no stone unturned in completing your resolution

If you aren’t aware, the show has a new friend on a Thursday morning…Benny is now my assistant and if you don’t know him..take my word for it..hes a lovely lad his hair is pretty cool aswell so all in all he’s been a good little transfer coup for the show.

Anyhow…..this year…we will be meeting our new star on a regular basis! if you didn’t listen to my last show before christmas you missed an absolute treat…Tricky Hatton was on the show, telling us about his plans for the future, there was even a surreal moment where Tricky and ‘Ashley Peacock’ were having a conversation on air.

I know what happening…beads of sweat are pouring from your head as it slowly sinks in that you have missed a moment of click gold…but do not worry..in fact get excited, because I will be playing that link again in the upcoming weeks..and..wait with baited breath as Voy Hodgson (as close as you get to the The Fulham manager for those who aren’t aware) will be making a little appearance at some point in January.

Of course, we will have our meet the student feature running each week…which by the way is still been led by Russ from the first week, who managed to pluck from his frantic brain, 18 cereals in 30 seconds. Bottom of the table is 11, but I’m not going to mention her name because I would not want to embarrass Emma

1. I didn’t really know what a blog was
2. Hence not knowing how to blog
3. I might say something I shouldn’t.

However god loves a trier and if anything I am that; plus I’ll get a raw bottom of Tom and Dom if I don’t have a bash, so here it is……

If you don’t know me, I’m Kathryn, I study sports and exercise science, play netball and work at topshop. I am also freshly 21!!!!  Which was an eventful birthday if I dare say! The evening involved ice skating between pubs, a game called floor master, a game called celebrity 2 word tango,  my bestest’s mates bare bottys, my introduction to tequila-YAK, and an episode of grievous bodily harm!

If you want to know more about this fatal evening; tune in on Wednesday 4-6, where I will be explaining all to Phil, who is waiting with bated breath I am sure :p

If you’re an avid listener you’ll probably want to know about pappa Walker and the Lindy; well not to worry there both fine, but as for chorus, not so much, but not to worry by May the 6^th or at the latest June, a certain leader will hopefully be getting his provocative kick in the nadsie’s. Even if he doesn’t, he’ll have a lot to clean up in terms of economic land slides, which will be just as enjoyable to watch. If your not an avid listener, which is probably more likely, I’m sure you will have similar feelings towards the general election, so here we begin on our common ground!

As for my beautiful best friends there also well; there all pretty much as you left them. Except miss H and the two A’s are all newly single. I have spent most of the Christmas holidays trying to prove that this is not a terrible, earth shattering, life changing thing and have coincidently spent nearly every night ‘doing the disco scene’ and smashing the social areas such as bowling and the cinema with all of them. Speaking of the pictures has anyone seen Sherlock Holmes? Jude law = BOOM!

Anyway little bit of homework for Wednesday 4-6; I want you to read Nicholas Sparks ‘dear john’ as I read it over Christmas and it could be the next best thing since Albert Einstein took a breast of chicken, crumbed it, smothered it in béchamel sauce and dared to name it a parmo! So how was your Christmas? Did you finish all your assignments, catch up on reading and start reading ahead for this term? I bet you didn’t! I spent it doing everything I could to avoid doing work, which is just as well seeing as I had to totally restore my PC last night, losing EVERYTHING!

But I wonder if you’re glad as me to be back at Uni, I know I am, its another term of ‘wonderful’ lessons, broken up with the boringness of Aruba, Onyx, Vodka Nationwide, Partys and all that other stuff that gets in the way of hard word

Of course I am kidding, thats what we’re here for, right? But if theres one thing you should value above all else, its that you keep up with Click! On Saturday nights final Stacey was booted out which left it neck and neck between me and Tom. On Sunday i was a wreck to say the least but Joe managed it and was crowned winner. This only left me with the forfeit to come up with. Below are the two videos or the forfeits.

Good afternoon I’m Dom and to use a football analogy, which you find me doing a hell of a lot,  I’d like to think I’m an experienced campaigner in terms of Click..and Utrn for that matter! Anyhow…do tune in…it would be quite rude not too if you’re a Thursday 10-12 virgin for want of a better term, then we have a weekly sport link…this is kind of just trying to get rid of all of the sporting testosterone in one link, otherwise i would be talking about it for two hours and more…probably even during the songs to myself …so we got a sporting expert and click correspondant Lewis on the phone, in other words he’s a mate of mine who knows a lot about sport – and who is also pretty good at conducting phone links!!

I don’t know how long these things are meant to go on for, so Im aware I could be high class waffling to the max, but we also have a feature called meet the student…its as simple as it gets to be honest, but id like to think it was groundbreaking.

The format is as follows, we get a student on the phone, chat about basically nothing for a bit and said student then has 30 seconds to name as many of a certain thing as possible, in the past we have had chocolate bars, cereals and sports. Sounds as boring as humanly possible but remarkably works reasonably well …anyway to get the theory out of the way e-mail me at clickteesside.com if you want to be our student Russ from the first week is top of our league with 18 cereals in 30 seconds, i know exactly what your thinking – pretty impressive!!

The 10 minute retro disco is a must in any students week, even if i do say so myself.

Anyhow at 404 words, i think things need to be rounded up – i thankyou dearly for reading and i make a Click promise that I shall start blogging on a regular basis from now – maybe even to the point where you wish i never started

Please do remember Thursday mornings 10-12 ive heard some ridiculous excuses as to why people can’t listen, something to do with lectures or something like that?? Pfffff!!!

The story revolves around Katie and Micah living in their new house where strange goings on begin. However for Katie it wasn’t the first time she experienced this. Since the age of 8 strange goings on have followed her but this time around Micah, (the events all being new to him) decides to record the events.

By doing this he only creates more intense activity. The activity in this mocumentary mainly happens at night, for me the constant switching between night and day was frustrating to say the least. It was clearly felt by the rest of the audience, as sighs were openly audible.

The best parts of the film were definitely at night and happened in the latter half of the film making the first half somewhat drag. When the paranormal goings on actually happen they genuinely play on your childhood fears, tucking the duvet under your feet so you’re not grabbed in your sleep, which for me made my heart pound. Besides these clever physiologic tricks I found the film extremely predictable, riddled with lulls and a disappointing viewing.

In my opinion the film was hyped up too much in the advertising. At points the badly thought-out scenes actually made the entire audience laugh when it was meant to be serious. For scariness I would rate the film 4/10 and over all 1/10.

Disappointing, laughable but you might sleep with the lights on tonight.

Now unless you have been hibernating for the last two weeks you will know that ClickTeesside have just been down to the ‘Big Smoke’ for ‘The BBC Radio 1 SRA Awards’. It was one of the most exciting venues I have been too. Everyone looked truly amazing and it was a superb night. One of the highlights was Rob from the sports show starting his ‘cool’ dancing which you can see a little of here

The food was posh but not the best I have had. The wine was good and the beer was cheaper than expected. Anyway After an agonising wait the announcement came through that Click Teesside had been awarded the Silver award for best student chart show in the UK. What an honour.

I have been with Click from the beginning, starting right back when it was known to only a few as UTRN. I never did get the chance to say a speech but if I had this is sort of how it would of gone:

During my time on this great radio station I have had the pleasure of working with some great people. Dominic Dunn the station manager has been extremely supportive and is a true friend and colleague, Tom Harrison who I’m sure will be in a job of power by the age of 25, is a straight to the point guy who offers as much support as he can. Without Phil around and offering a helping hand I wouldn’t of even been able to attend some of the best nights out, Adam Irish and Tom Campell are awesome guys whom I class as great friends. Rob, Kathryn and anyone else I failed to mention are all amazing people as well. My mum always told me “if you do something you enjoy you’ll never work a day in your life” this is completely true for ClickTeesside, on and off air. The atmosphere and the people make working, presenting and helping out on the station a joy and you couldn’t wish for a better group of people.

Enough of the ‘group hug’ stuff, don’t forget to tune in on Friday the 4^th of December for your chance to win some prizes and listen to some awesome music.

Today’s now traditional Friday live session introduced us to the weird and wonderful sounds of Mannequin Attic, the collective name of local duo of Lisa Shepherd and Lee Close.

Fresh from victory in their heat of the Princess Alice’s Battle Of The Bands competition on Thursday night, they bravely overcame sore throats (something that’s becoming quite a regular on the show heh) to treat us to a terrific performance consisting of ‘Give Me A Call’, ‘Drug To Me’ and ‘Honey’. They certainly come across like an act that could go places, so it was a great pleasure to have them in the studio showing off some really cool, dark originals.

And as if that wasn’t enough to give you that low down tickle we’ll also be capturing their appearance on my AWESOME camera, so you can finally see what we get up to in the studio, including YMCA, puppies, sombreros and all the rest of the INSANITY…it could melt your eyeballs…in fact, you should probably just look away!!

It has been a while since I have written my blog and quite a lot has happened. I have recently got my Graduation tickets which is very scary, If your graduating in the next few weeks then why not tell me who you and I shall wish you luck on air on Friday.

The week of graduation I will also be travelling down to London to see if the Click team and I have won the Chart show of the year. A few of us presenters and staff will  be doing a live show from outside the O2 arena so don’t forget to tune in I will give you more information closer to the time.  Also don’t forget to check the Click website for pictures from the event.

Something else which is key to mention, the graduation Ball is on the 26^th of November so go buy yourself a ticket there is transport included to and from the event, well worth it as it may be the last time you see a lot of the people from Teesside university.

Now normally I have a ‘tubechoice’ picked out for the show this week but as you can see its not embedded on this page, this is because I have to ask permission to play this very funny vid from flight of the concords. This is the story of a young couple, Katie and Micah, and their struggle to get rid of a demon that has haunted Katie since childhood.

Filmed on a camcorder this is one of the most chilling and deeply disturbing films I have ever seen! So realistic it has the ability to make you doubt your own beliefs and chill you to the bone.

The acting of the unknown cast is sensational and the effects are horrifyingly great from start to end.

I won’t go too much into the plot because I don’t want to deprive anyone of the fear and shock that I experienced; whether this is a selfless act in consideration of your movie viewing experience or a selfish wish for others to feel as tense and unnerved as I did I’m not quite sure; perhaps a bit of both.

If you love horrors, thrillers and any other mish-mash of genres I strongly recommend you see this film.

However if you are like me, a total wimp; I would strongly recommend you stay home and watch a Disney film to avoid sleepless nights and the inevitable high electricity bills from sleeping with the light on for the foreseeable future.

Just be warned, once you have seen this film the bumps in the night you hear are dramatically amplified and every creak of your house turns into a potential panic attack.

But if you’re feeling brave, go for it.

On this morning’s show, Jim and I hosted another fantastic live session. This time, Jeff Pepsii and Lightnin’ Alex Lee Hooker III of The Eruptors were along in the studio to kick out a few jams. They played a fantastic set of 6 songs including a few from their brand new album, ‘Seduce & Destroy’, as well as staples of The Alex & Jim Show, ‘One Minute Decision’ and(“Teesside’s State Rock Anthem” – thanks by the way to any Oklahomalonians out there) ‘Tow The Line’. In there place however, fresh from a resounding performance during the University’s Culture On Campus ‘Let There Be Rock!’ lecture this week, The Eruptors will be joining us in the first hour of the show. The band include Alex Gillett, by day a humble lecturer in the University’s Business School, but by night the “Sexiest Man In Rock”, ‘Flamin Alex Lee Hooker III’.

Rest assured, if Wednesday’s performance is anything to go by however, he’ll be rockin out in his night time guise. But in the morning. The studio has no windows with which to confuse him, so fret ye not.

The band have been a particular favourite of the show for a while. Alex & Jim connoisseurs will recall that we nominated their ‘Tow The Line’ as Teesside’s official regional rock anthem last year.

So don’t forget to tune in tomorrow from 10 for ‘1000% rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ along with all the usual erm…..other….stuff.
